With its digitalization financing program, the state of Baden-Württemberg supports companies in investing in digitalization, IT infrastructure, IT security and artificial intelligence.
Digitalization financing is a funding program offered by the state of Baden-Württemberg for companies that want to invest in their digital development. Projects eligible for funding include those in the areas of IT infrastructure, digitalization of business processes, IT security, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
Funding is generally provided through a subsidized loan. Depending on the type of project and funding level, a repayment grant may also be available. The aim is to support companies with investments that improve their digital performance, security, and competitiveness.
Whether a specific project is eligible for funding depends on the applicable program conditions, the company, and the planned project.
Funding is available for digitalization measures that go beyond standard purchases. These can include, among other things, new IT infrastructures, cloud solutions, digital business processes, IT security measures, interfaces, and applications using artificial intelligence. Project-related training courses may also be eligible for funding.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as defined by the EU, as well as larger medium-sized enterprises with an annual turnover of up to €500 million, are eligible to apply. Requirements include that the company is predominantly privately owned and that the project is implemented in Baden-Württemberg.
This is a subsidized loan through the house bank procedure with an optional repayment subsidy, depending on the funding level and company size.
