ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems (ISMS) that helps organizations systematically protect information and manage risks. Its aim is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, minimize risks and meet the requirements of laws and partners. The approach is based on risk assessment, the establishment of clear guidelines and responsibilities and continuous improvement of the system.

The standard contains 93 measures for risk reduction in the areas of organization, people, physical and technical security. Implementation includes defining the scope of application, conducting risk assessments, implementing appropriate measures, maintaining documentation and regular audits.
