Whistleblower protection

The Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG), which came into force in July 2023, represents a milestone in the legal landscape. It requires companies with more than 50 employees to set up an internal reporting office for whistleblowers and to grant them protection and anonymity. However, meeting legal requirements can be a major challenge and involve considerable effort, especially for medium-sized companies without their own compliance department.
