An IT emergency plan prepares companies for disasters and crises, whether cyberattacks, hardware failures, or fires. A structured and up-to-date manual for such scenarios helps employees maintain an overview and take the right steps immediately. Well-developed emergency concepts can prevent downtime and minimize financial losses.

The aim of the workshop is gTogether with you and your project team, we will create the basis and impart the necessary know-how to enable you to create an individual emergency plan for your company.

Workshop in Detail

In our two-part workshop, we will show you what is required for a functioning emergency plan and how to implement corresponding processes in the company. The following topics will be covered during the workshop: 

Getting started with IT emergency planning

Basic training
with max. 10 participants

  • Duration: 2 appointments of 4 hours each
  • Creation of a directory of all IT assets and documentation
  • Definition of possible emergencies including prioritization based on how critical they can be and possible damage
  • Development of instructions for action depending on the emergency
  • Possible workarounds and emergency processes
  • Definition of contact persons with telephone numbers and their exact role and responsibility in an emergency
  • Alert chain: Who is notified and in what order?
  • Substitution rules: Who steps in when someone is not there?
  • Emergency numbers of service providers and providers
  • Directory of all access data, licenses, manuals, relevant contract data and codes for doors, for example
  • Instructions and procedures for restoring operations, where are backups located?
  • Crisis communication plan
